Size, Length, and Geometries
Blanks are not guaranteed to finish at or under the Max Diameter limit.  Click here to compare the weight of a Structured Barrel to a bull and taper at varying diameters.  All Structured Barrels taper up or down to fit action.  Thus, the neck and action may be different diameters.  Gunsmiths chamber, thread, and cut the barrel to final length per vendor specification*.  TACOM HQ processes all blanks at raw length.

*Removal at muzzle per vendor specification:
Bartlein -1″
Krieger -1″
KS Arms -2″

Twist Rate
Click here to use the Twist Rate Stability Calculator by Berger to evaluate.  Achieve a high stability factor to ensure bullets do not prematurely destabilize at distance.

Drop-shipping
Drop-shipped blanks must be a straight contour from chamber to muzzle, be .250-inches larger than Max Finish Diameter, and include a TACOM HQ Purchase Order (PO).  Removal of a nipple or similar feature at the muzzle is required to be processed.  Blanks unclaimed and unattached to a PO within 3-months of delivery will be marked abandoned, and automatically circulated into production and sold.

Borescopes
To maximize barrel life, borescopes are highly recommended to ensure comprehensive and consistent bore cleaning.  Click here for borescopes.

Indemnification
Customer assumes complete responsibility for selections and any discovered defects from a barrel manufacturer that includes but not limited to rifling, bore, and material, and indemnifies TACOM HQ of all liabilities.
